The challenge
People read each other in the first ten seconds of a room, and most leadership training never touches that moment directly.
The approach
Mike built a live, participatory talk — introductions, nonverbal communication, self-assessment, and real-time practice — delivered in corporate settings, schools, and correctional facilities, including a prison literacy program supported through his board service with Beyond Our Walls.
The result
The impact has been direct and personal: one participant in a literacy session told the program manager that Mike had seen past his skin color and physical size and treated him with respect, then wrote a letter of thanks.
